Extra Charges
Wait Time
- $60.00 per hour after first hour. (The first hour is always free.) Generally, we do not charge a wait time if the customer is with a caregiver from their facility, a family member is waiting with them, or if they can be left by themselves.
- Emergency room visits are one exception. While 1-2 hours in addition to the free hour being normal, it’s not unusual for them to last several hours. HOWEVER, THIS IS NOT AN AMBULANCE SERVICE! If you are injured, need immediate care, first aid, or are experiencing a possible heart attack, stroke, or any other life threatening condition, do not call Caring Hands Transportation. Call 911 immediately! If you call under these conditions, Caring Hands Transportation will not be able to respond, or transport you, and you will be wasting valuable time. Caring Hands Transportation can transport you to the emergency room in some cases. For example: If you need to see your doctor because you’re feeling ill, office hours are closed, or you can’t schedule a regular appointment, Caring Hands Transportation will transport you in these and a few other “non-emergency” situations.
- If a person needs to make several stops, run errands, or multiple appointments, there may be an additional lift fee of $20.00 each time they’re loaded back on the bus.
Extra Loading and Errand Running

- You can use Caring Hands Transportation to run your errancs like picking up prescriptions, dropping off lab samples, or delivering/picking up different items. $90.00 for the first 12 miles, and $5.00 each for every additional mile.

Outings & Tours
Tour & outing prices depend on a number of variables: number of people, etc. Costs include all admissions, fees, and most extra costs. We never mark up ticket admission costs, or fees.
Tours can be custom made. Have somewhere you would like to go? Feel free to suggest ideas. When space is available a family member or companion will be welcome for no charge, except for the cost of admissions, ticket prices, food, etc. The transportation costs are fee. Outings will be fully staffed with trained caregivers; usually one per 2-4 customers, depending on needs, or outing. Because outings & tours are so individualized, all these conditions are subject to change. My ultimate goal is safety and fun. I try to be as flexible as possible. Details will be more clear as they are being planned and organized and of course will be made available when finalized.
